Many people in the securities industry have served jail time for failing to 'fully disclose' facts and for deceiving others for financial gain. Not so in the highly unregulated 'consignment software industry'.
We have been studying consignment software vendors very closely for five years now. We are very familiar with their past and present efforts to attract attention away from their high costs and lure users into price traps (tricks to get more than the initial cost of their software). Knowing these facts obligates us to disclose them.
As Mark Walker of Markat CC Tags put it recently: "To be candid with you, I applaud your desire to offer reasonably-priced software and can understand the bad attitude on the part of some other software companies (not all) who greedily over charge for their software and tech support."
Rather than crowd a lot of text into this post, here's one web page addressing this very important issue of ethics and fair play. Our competitors (CCE, Consignpro, Liberty) have very high costs to hide and disguise and here's how they commit Consignment Software Fraud. _________________ Steve Henning
