What are House Accounts?

'House Accounts' are shop accounts used to:

• Transfer unsold items to shop ownership (Main House Account only)
• Sell different types of merchandise
• Sell for various parts of the store (back room, sales floor, etc.)
• Sell (retail, resale) items belonging to the shop owner

Transferring Unsold Items to the House Account

In the consignor's record in BCSS select 'Transfer to House Account' in the 'Unsold Items' box.

If one price is to be set for all items transferred to the House Account, enter that price below in 'Charge this price for all transferred items'.

If the price of transferred items will vary, leave this field blank and enter the price for each item when it is transferred.

The House Account Feature is an additional cost in some software programs.
