Inventory Work Area (F7)

BCSS provides extensive facilities for managing inventory. Each inventory item record is attached to the consignor that provided it or to a house account, and inherits certain default values from that association. Each item record needs to have at least an ID, a description and a price. Other information may be stored if necessary.

Inventory records link together the various parts of BCSS allowing you to know who owns what, what has been sold, how much consignors are owed in settlement percentages, and how much profit has been made. BCSS provides many reports to pinpoint this information.

The inventory records are also the center of a number of collateral services such as printing price labels and bar codes as well as scheduling aged discounts and promotions.
