About BCSS Editions - Intro, Deluxe, Diamond and Virtual

BCSS Intro is a starter program that records and manages consignors, sales, settlements and disbursements information. It processes sales (including auto-computation of sales tax(es), change due customer and settlements due consignors). It prints address labels and price labels. It auto-fills and prints consignment agreements with consignor and shop information. Basic important sales and consignor reports are included. It's an all-around good egg for 159 bucks. After 2 years (3 payments) Intro is auto-upgraded to Deluxe and no further payments are due.

Inventory and discounts are entered at the point of sale, saving a considerable amount data entry for items that never sell and/or for shops that don't need or want to track inventory, yet, price labels can be printed.

Intro is a simple program that does a whole lot. Users with simple needs love it!

Online Data Backup - In every BCSS edition, one press of a button uploads your important data files to our server for safe keeping.

BCSS Deluxe prints a wide variety of labels and hang tags with or without bar codes. It reads bar codes. It 'batches' many functions so processes like settlements, label and check printing can be done at the flick of a button. Deluxe can auto-discount or manually discount aged inventory. Each inventory category can have its own discount rate. The number of reports jump from a few essentials in Intro to over 300. Deluxe handles buy outright, layaway, house-account, rentals and special sales promotions. The newest addition is data import/export from/to spreadsheets.

Data Import/Export - Import data into BCSS (except Intro) from spreadsheets or export data for use in other programs like Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.

BCSS Diamond is in a class all its own. What's better than Deluxe? Thermal printing, including price tags with bar codes up to 4" wide - Complete management of customers, buyers (in addition to consignors) and employees (each with a different commission schedule, a different level of access to areas of store information in BCSS). Each employee's cash drawer can be audited at any time. Sold inventory can be sent and retrieved from storage. Networking (multiple computers sharing the same data) - Mall space rental management...

Barcodes now print on price labels as small as 2.25" x 1.25. They can also be printed on labels that are 2" wide but 2, 3 or 4" high.

BCSS Virtual is every store's entry into the world conducting business online. In addition to consignor access to account information online, Virtual will include an online store for your shop and consignors' ability to add inventory items online. Virtual may include an image gallery, email send/receive and group mailings, and an event calendar. Please email us for updates.

Warning Before you get locked into a software program, consider:

Networking - As your business grows, you will need more computers. A copy of the consignment software must be purchased for each computer. Liberty and Consignpro charge $1,475 for 5 additional copies and they raise the annual support fee, depending upon the number of copies used.

Software Ownership - You own BCSS and can resell it at any time. Other vendors are selling a software 'license' which only allows you to use their software (like Liberty and Consignpro).

Annual Fees - There are no recurring fees with BCSS. CCE (Boulder, CO): $100 per year. Consignpro: $250 per year. Liberty: as high as $2,339.40 per year.

"If there is something wrong with the software it should be fixed free of charge. If there is nothing wrong with the software, there's no need for 'support' so why are there 'support fees'? For the sole purpose of building a continuous revenue stream for the software provider."
