Maintaining Your Consignment ComputerIf your PC doesn't run like it did 'out of the box', it probably has fragmented files, lost disk space and displaced memory. If your PC is online and you don't have an anti-virus and anti-malware programs installed, your PC is undoubtedly infected with one or more viruses and malwares. Viruses, malware, insufficient disk space, fragmented files and/or depleted RAM memory cause problems, so please take the time to give your PC a clean start. 1) Update your anti-virus program and scan your PC for viruses. You may obtain a free virus scan from ESET Smart Security 2) VERY IMPORTANT! Microsoft's Windows program is like every other - in constant need of upgrading and updating. Every Windows version must be updated regularly! Click on Start then 'Windows Update' to access. If that shortcut is not available, try Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Security Center and set 'Automatic Updates' to 'On'. Alternatively, go to Microsoft's update web page http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and follow instructions for downloading and installing updates. 3) Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click on Disk Cleanup. This will check your hard drive thoroughly for errors and defragment the files on the hard drive. It may take an hour or more to complete. Reboot. 4) Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click on Disk Defragmenter. Choose Defragment. This will defrag the files on the hard drive. It may take an hour or more to complete. Reboot. Now your PC should have more disk space and more available RAM memory and no viruses/malware. BCSS and other programs will have a better chance of running successfully. Also, as a PC and printer are used, their resources (like RAM or buffer memory) are reduced. Restart the PC and printer regularly to restore their capacities. Processes Running on the Computer fa96d0d7.exe belongs to the Java Standard Edition and may appear in Windows Defender as a potential change to the PC's memory when Java updates are requested. | ||
